Holiday Updates

We've had a busy couple months! As you can see, I got a little behind on blogging for months 7 and 8. We were in Dallas for Thanksgiving and had a great relaxing week with the Dahlgrens. It was around this time that James took a liking to solid foods which only seems right being the week of thanksgiving! A boy after my own heart. :) We had great weather and loved getting to step outside with James, even go on a couple walks. I didn't take many pictures that week but Uncle Neal made a great video and I might be able to talk him into sharing it here! James is still eating like a pro, by the way.

For Christmas we were in Iowa with the Rogers, as you've seen in the below posts. James had a blast with cousin Avery and the rest of the family, it was a great Christmas!

Our baby is on the move! James has the army crawl down like it's his job. I panicked yesterday when I walked in to the bedroom where I had left him seconds before and he had completely disappeared. I called out "James! James?" as if he could respond... he had crawled through our bathroom and into my closet faster than Oso, practically. :) He does not like to sit still, thats for sure!

While we were in Iowa, he decided to start pulling up on to things. He took a liking to uncle Michaels old suitcase, a step stool, and anything that was less than 2 feet from the ground. Here is a picture of him after he had climbed up on to that black stool and then pulled up on to the couch. So proud of himself!

He has also officially chosen a comfort blanket. The minute you give him his blankie he pops his fingers in his mouth and curls up ready to go to sleep! I'm telling you, this thing has magic powers! Thanks to my friend Leah, who got it for him after he was born!

like James, life seems to be moving faster than we can keep up with most days, but we are enjoying our little family and every new season God gives us. Kirk and I have been married 5 years today! It has been an amazing 5 years and I pinch myself every day wondering how I got lucky enough to walk through life with such an honorable, loving, man. I love you Kirk, Happy Anniversary!

James and Avery

My brothers' daughter, Avery, is 6 weeks older than James and it has been SO fun to see the two of them together. Here are some pictures from Christmas. I had to restrain myself from posting hundreds. :)

teething babies!

they both LOVE this table- James can pull himself up to standing at it without help!

I couldn't help but post these pictures below. Do you think he enjoyed the new wagon?!?!

Snow

James saw his first snow in Iowa for Christmas! He wasn't too excited at first, I don't blame him, it was cold! But he warmed up and we had a good time.
