Kirk and I got to go camping for a night last month which was a real treat. We wanted to get away briefly before this baby comes and camping is one of our favorite ways to do that. There is something really refreshing about being out of cell range, having nothing to do but talk and hang out. Kirk's parents came and stayed with James which was awesome. We left saturday morning and drove a couple hours to the Obed river on the cumberland plateau. It was perfect weather and Kirk found a great campsite right by the river. After we set up our tent we took a couple walks, hung out by the river, played scrabble, and eventually made dinner and then smores over the fire. It was a good night away that we probably won't get to do again for awhile. So glad to be married to my best friend. :)
We went to a pumpkin farm in Franklin last weekend and enjoyed a little family outing together. James loved running through the pumpkin field and trying to pick up the pumpkins. He picked out a big green one that they tell us will turn orange, but it's still pretty green so we'll see. :) He also loved playing in a big trough they had filled with corn and wheat, he could have stayed there for for a long time. Fun afternoon!
