Where did the last 6 months go?!

Well as you can see life has gotten away from me these last several months since we found out about little dahlgren number 2! I'll try to update you.

New Baby
I will be 29 weeks pregnant at the end of this week and am starting to feel anxious to meet this little person. We have not found out if it is a boy or girl and I really go back and forth between what I expect it to be. I will be quite happy with either, and James seems to think it's a sister. I think he thinks my belly button is the baby though! If you ask him to say something to the baby he will most often lean in to my belly and say "Hi baby, do you want some food?".

We have decided to have a home birth with this baby and I'm so happy with this decision. It has been nice having our midwife come to our house for appointments rather than dragging James out to the dr.'s office. Everyone asks if we are nervous about the home birth and my answer is no, not at all! We live really close to several downtown hospitals incase we needed to transfer to one, and we loved working with Susie so much last time that we trust her completely. She will have an assistant with her at the house and they are very professional, and prepared for lots of different circumstances. The best part will be laboring at home, with my food, my shower, my tv, my couch, all of it! And then meeting this new life in our own bedroom and getting to know them at home from the start will surly be so special. We are excited.

James
James' big news is that he is officially potty trained! The crazy kid decided a month ago that he wanted to start using the potty and he's been a champ ever since. He is even sleeping in underwear at night! Whoa! I had not expected him to be trained before this new baby comes but apparently he had different plans and I'm grateful! What a gift that we have 2 months of no diapers before we meet this new little one!

He started at his "school" again last week and is in a class with 5 other boys on tuesdays and thursdays while I work. He loves it there and I do to, it's been nice to start to get in a rhythm again after a summer of travels.

speaking of summer, I will try to post some more summer pics and memories soon. For now, here are some pics from the summer.
